How might you use this in your science class next year?

well it was useful because i was able to do some research on another country and found out some interesting facts about their history.

this was good because i see my kids using it to work in groups and feeling a sense of teamwork also they could find out information that's useful in this type of settings.

well being that you have to create a website i see kids enjoying the fact that they accomplished something. many kids go to websites but never really had a chance to create their own.

class 11: 5/15/07

Today we watch the digital stories that were awesome i really enjoyed watching our classmates presentations. I will definately use this type of assignment in the my class i beleave the kids will us this and like it.

what kinds of posting do people tend to make in a blog?

well people do all types of post in a blog. some people write a long story..some people get straight to the point..some people write a novel. some people write a summary. it all depends on the type of writing style of the individual.

9th class 4/24/07

this class was one of the more interesting classes in which we learned how to work a smart board. it was very good to see the basics of the smart board but the harsh reality is that i wont be able to use one with my kids anytime soon. but it was cool to see how it operates and i do look forward to using one in the near future in all my classroom's..keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

8th class 4/17/07

we had a long break from class. spring break was fun and it was kind of hard to get into the flow of class. we started to learn about visual literacy where we had to guess a country by what people say about it. this exercise was interesting with adults bu t i don't think i could use it with my students. i believe they lack the maturity for this type of assignment to work correctly.

7th class 3/20/07

Todays class was good. we started to learn how to use the google page creator to make websites. google pages is very easy to use surprisingly.we als.o continued to work with our groups doing the culture quest. overall class was good. nice presentations by our fellow classmates also.

6th class 3/13/07

this class was very interesting i thought that the presentation i did on powerpoint went well. i also enjoyed the other presentations done by the students who went that night. this class is interesting and im continuing to work on the culture quest...webquest...digital story it is all coming together and i am very interested in finalizing the projects for the final outcome./

5th Class 3/6/07

Today's class was interesting i enjoyed the power point presentations on the use of literature in the classroom. many of the things talked about i also have used or considered using. it just takes a lot of time to get something like a vocabulary word wall started. i feel that once it gets up and running that it could be very useful for the students. i know some teachers that use a word wall just to impress the administration. i would hate to be one of those type of teachers that puts up a vocabulary wall and never maintain it. well my group got a lot of work done and we hope to finish up real soon. thanks for the work time in class. :)

4th class 2/27/07

this class was very informative. the culture quest we will be doing is going to be fun. i look forward to doing some group work. its always great to work with my fellow fellows. i feel that this culture quest will be very useful. i love to learn and do new things with science. this gives us a very different aspect on how we can learn and teach science. once again i am very happy with the progress of this class and look forward to working with my group on this culture quest of D.R.

3rd class 2/13/07

this class was very interesting. i was excited to learn about PowerPoint. even though i used PowerPoint before i was never the one who had created it. so i didn't really know how to do all those cool things. the basic tutorial we went through is class was very helpful. i was very excited to take some time out to learn to use PowerPoint. i would love to start creating more of my lessons on PowerPoint. the only problem is that I'm in a large school and its hard to get the media cart. nevertheless i think the kids would appreciate a lesson in PowerPoint because they don't get to see that very often. so I'm very happy that I'm learning some new and interesting things in this class.

2nd class 2/6/07

Today I learned some very interesting information. the link for virtual architecture was extremely awesome. I love the idea of using the interpersonal exchange. i would love to have my students communicate with other students around the world using epals.com. Having the opportunity to talk with other teachers around the world and do projects with their kids is simply amazing. I plan on setting up something like this for my next year as a teacher in September. The other topic that was interesting was Web Quest i am very interested in trying to do one of these types of projects. I will need to speak with you to get more help on the construction of a Web quest project for my special education students. Having fun in this class while learning I'm excited! Thanks!

First day of class 1/30/07 Session 1

I'm excited about this class after the this first session. I thought i knew a lot about the Internet. In this first class i have learned ways of searching that are very useful. As a teacher my time is of most importance to me. This simple task that i have learned about using a " " or + host : this is a real time saver when using a search engine. I am also excited about the use of filimentality. My kids will definitely benefit from the use of a website that will guide them on the sites they should be navigating. Looking forward to a fun semester with many more useful information.
